Cathy Elkington is a child of God! She is passionate about coming alongside leaders on their journey of understanding themselves, their connection with (their understanding of) the Divine, and how they live that out in the world. She was born in Zambia and started school in the Philippines.
After working her graduate year after a Bachelor of Nursing, she and her husband entered The Salvation Army Bible Training College. Together, they have served as the senior pastors in five congregations in Victoria and Tasmania and six years in New Zealand. Cathy then worked for five years in Spiritual Life Development, running retreats, and held roles at the Bible Training College in Mission and Ministry and Personal and Spiritual Formation. Her extensive experience in these roles brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding.
Cathy holds a Master of Spirituality, incorporating Graduate Diplomas in Professional Supervision and Spiritual Direction. She teaches Spiritual Formation at the University of Divinity and Professional Supervision at the Australian Catholic University. She also works as a Spiritual Director in private practice and trains Spiritual Directors through the Living Well Centre.
At Partners in Ministry, Cathy specialises in the Pastor Support Stream, believing that being a healthy pastor is the only way to sustain a healthy ministry. Cathy has clients across Australia who she meets online to provide supervision, spiritual direction, and coaching. She also runs Spiritual Retreats and workshops about spiritual practices and rhythms.
